Scanning the horizon for hippos. Lake Tana, Bahir Dar, Ethiopia.

Hi, I'm Gina.

There are a lot of things I like in this world. Dogs, a good papaya, canoeing in Minnesota's Arrowhead region, snacking on whole peppercorns, folding fitted sheets like a bosslady. But what I love? Really really love? Traveling. Telling stories. And, logically, telling stories about travel.

I've worked in media and marketing, in both the digital and print worlds, for more than a decade. I edit, I write and I specialize in making other people look good. And by "other people," I mean you.

If you've got a story and you're not quite sure how to tell it, I can help you write it. If you've written it all down and it's not going anywhere, I can help you tweak it so that it takes off. I've helped small businesses, Fortune 500 companies, worldwide agencies, tourism boards and destination marketing organizations get their messages out to countless readers, and I want to help you, too.

A little bit of Gina trivia:

  • I've traveled to 27 countries.

  • I speak German, which is not terribly useful here in the United States, but it's a damn good party trick. I can also read Cyrillic, but can't do much with the words other than pronounce them. In an effort to gain more useful language skills, I'm currently studying Spanish.

  • My Myers-Briggs type is INFJ. Don't know what that means? It sort of means I'm a unicorn—INFJs make up less than 1% of the world's population. It also means I am a passionate, creative, helpful person who likes to get things done. Or so I'm told.

  • I've been married to my wonderful husband for 14 years. He's a gardener, which is a good thing, because otherwise my lawn would be a wasteland of dead plants.
